PIEDMONT CHINOISERIE
Consolata Pralormo Design promote a cultural itinerary concerning chinese art of XVIII century through piedmontais Royal castles, palaces and museums.
This event is organized in cooperation with Regione Piemonte (Assessorato alla Cultura e al Turismo), Soprintendenza ai Beni Artistici e Architettonici, directors and managers of involved castles and museums.
During the Hong Kong exhibition, every castle, palace and museum in piedmont will point out its collections of chinese arts and antics, bone china, chinese rooms, papier peints, enamel works...
HONG KONG MOVIES
Consolata Pralormo Design promote a Festival concerning chinese and Hong Kong Cinema. It will take place in the "National Museum of Cinema" (Turin) during Pralormo exhibition. The Festival will probably involve the worldwide known "Far East Film Festival" (Udine-Italy) too.
The Hong Kong exhibition will have the honour to host the preview of a just restored movie concerning a trip in China, shooted in 1920 by italian banker and traveller Sella.
OPERA THEATRE
The "Royal Theatre" of Turin will be involved in the Hong Kong exhibition by showing costumes designed for the Turandot directed by Zhang Yimou in Beijng.
SPORTING EVENTS
"Hong Kong is a winning horse"
To underline the sporting chances offered by Hong Kong, during the exhibition at Pralormo Castle, Turin will host exciting sports events specially dedicated to Hong Kong: a Dragon Boat Festival, a Golf Race and a Horse Race.
These events take advantage of Pralormo’s syte: near to the Po river and to its sailing associations, near to the Turin race-courses and to a wonderful golfing club.
GOLF COURSE
In an exclusive and beautiful club located near to Pralormo castle, a golf course will be dedicated to the Hong Kong exhibition.
Awarding of prizes will take place at Pralormo castle during the exhibition.
DRAGON BOAT
Consolata Pralormo Design promote a Dragon Boat Festival race, organized together with local Institutions (Comune di Torino, Assessorato allo Sport) and Associations (Italian Dragon Boat Associations; Sailing associations; Parco Fluviale del Po Torinese)
HORSE RACING
Consolata Pralormo Design promote a gallop race specially dedicated to Hong Kong in cooperation with UNIRE (Unione Italiana Razze Equestri) and the Turin race-course of Vinovo.
The race will take place at Vinovo (Turin) in september 2001. In the same period there will probably be a gallop race in the Rome race-course too.
Prizes for the winning horse’s owner and for a visitor (drawn at a lottery), will be a journey in Hong Kong during the International Horse Races of december 2001.
Pralormo castle, whose owners belong to the family who created the stud Dormello-Olgiata (the one of famous horse Ribot!), will host in its ancient stables a show concerning the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
